Not long ago in the 1950’s, people weren’t expected to live much past 65 or the age of retirement. Research shows the expected life span will go into the 80’s. However, along with living longer comes the reality of chronic illnesses and memory care issues. It has been shown most who live past the 80’s will require some care. If all or part of that care is provided by a family caregiver, studies have proven, it’s healthy for the family caregiver to get a well-deserved break, a vacation or maybe just some time off.
Respite refers to “short term” break or short interval of rest or relief.
Treacy Villa has special programs available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day for those much needed intervals. They’re designed with the caregiver’s schedule in mind as well as the patient’s care needs. These programs are personalized to the resident’s abilities and include a full schedule of activities with an emphasis on full time expert care and security.
Individuals residing in our Respite Care Program receive all the services and amenities included in our affordably priced, all-inclusive Assisted Living and Memory Care programs. Once the stay has ended, the home care nurse can go to the home and provide a free assessment to determine a care plan at home, tailored to the needs of the patient and the caregiver.
